After graduation from Starfleet Academy Medical School,  interned on planet Delos IV with Dr. Dalen Quaice in 2352.   By 2364, assigned chief medical officer on U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D under Captain Jean-Luc Picard as of stardate 41154.  Served with distinction. In 2365, Crusher left Enterprise to accept position as head of Starfleet Medical.  Resigned position in 2366 and returned Enterprise-D as chief medical officer.  Medical achievements have included: In 2366, when Captain Picard was recovered from his abduction by the Borg, Crusher devised first successful removal of  all Borg implants from a humanoid body.  In 2370, discovered Barclay’s Protomorphosis Syndrome, an intron virus that causes humanoids and animals to express atavistic genetic traits. Crusher’s medical ethics occasionally cause mission conflicts.  In 2366, while retrieving two hidden observers from a pre-first-contact civilization on Mintaka III, she insisted on beaming a Mintakan native, injured in the operation, to the Enterprise  for care. The return of the native, whose memory could not be erased, led to a forced first-contact situation with the Mintakans.  In 2368, a downed Borg scout ship was found with one surviving drone.  Dr. Crusher insisted on bringing it aboard for treatment.  Much was learned about Borg physiology, but the return of the drone (called “Hugh”) to its Collective  created a small pocket of self-aware Borg who would later  abduct Lieutenant Commander Data.  Crusher  temporarily relieved of duty around stardate 46830.1 when she conducted an autopsy on a Ferengi scientist against his family’s wishes.  She disccovered the Ferengi’s murderer and was exonerated.Exceptionally, Crusher is fully rated for command chair as of 2362. Commanded Enterprise in early 2369 when its crew engaged in search for Data, during his aforementioned abduction. Crusher successfully held off an attack by the hostile Borg ship. Following Enterprise-D destruction, became chief medical officer of U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E in 2372.
